Tanner was also briefly involved with the Archery Club, Taekwondo Club, 3D-Printing Club, and the Nittany Entrepreneur Society.

Tanner’s future plans are broad and full of goals. Some of his next steps include:

  • Excitedly looking for a job as a music educator!
  • Continuing development of his small-business, EQ Arts LLC, and expanding production beyond custom mouthpieces to include other impactful and affordable tools for musicians.
  • Conducting research for music education with hopes to pursue a masters degree to better understand the relationships between sound and the body.

Overall, Tanner’s long-term goals are to do as much as he can to contribute to the growth and development of music education as a field by providing quality research that ties together our understanding of how the human body actually produces sound with the research currently being done in other related fields (such as physiology, psychology, neurology, kinesthiology, linguistics, etc), for the ultimate purpose of using entrepreneurial growth to take him to the stages of academic universities and/or non-profit organizations like the TED Foundation to share this research in meaningful and engaging ways and improve the quality of education for our students!
